Darwish Congratulates Fighters and Staff for Success of EFC Relentless

Promoter Hani Darwish of The Darwish Brothers wishes to thank everyone involved in making his Saturday, March 9, MMA event such a tremendous success.

Entitled EFC “Relentless”, and held in the Xanadu Theater at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the large, boisterous crowd were treated to an exciting showcase of many of the New Jersey area’s brightest new fighting stars.

“First I want to thank all the fans who came out and bought tickets. Without you we would not be in business,” said Darwish. “I also want to thank the tremendous staff at Trump Taj Mahal for their support in putting the event together.”

Darwish also wishes to thank all the fighters who made it such an unforgettable evening, especially his Welterweight Champion, Fabian “The Baby Face Killer” Rosario (7-0) who successfully defended his belt by a hard-fought but well-deserved unanimous decision against Danny “Massacre” Massa. “I also want to thank Danny Massa for putting up such a great challenge and making it such an exciting fight.”

In the fight of the night, Barat Jan was able to outlast a determined Joseph Curcio. Back and forth went the two warriors with momentum swinging first one way, then the other. Some well-placed haymakers and a bit better conditioning made the difference for Jan, as he won by an exciting but close decision.

“I also want to thank all my sponsors and my own Team EFC staff for their excellent work: my brother Wally Darwish, Suzan Dee, Michael McEnerney, Gabe Fonseca, Miguel Camacho, Ashure Elbanna, Andre Courtemanche, as well as my wife and kids and all the young Darwish’s who help out at all my events. Thanks also to Mike Straka, Mike Constantino, Matt Carafiello and UFC fighter Jim Miller for their work on the broadcast, Dean Stone for his superb ring announcing, and all the coaches and fight camps who participated. And lastly Nick Lembo and all the NJ State Officials for doing such a well-organized job of officiating.

EFC will return later this year on May 18, August 24 and November 30. Further details TBA.
